Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Displays HDTV programs in full 1920 x 1080p resolution for a more detailed picture.Unlike other sensors which can only sense brightness of ambient light, LG's "Intelligent Sensor" uses 4,096 sensing steps to evaluate its surroundings. Using a sophisticated algorithm, the LG processes picture quality elements including brightness, contrast, color, sharpness and white balance. The result is a picture optimized for it's surroundings, more pleasing to watch and which can also save up to 50% in power consumption. The AV Mode optimizes the picture into Cinema, Sports, and game Mode according to the video and audio content. The viewer has the ability to quickly choose the correct mode for the picture they are viewing.Automatically enhances and amplifies the sound of human voice frequency range to help keep dialog audible when background noise swells. This TV contains the detailed calibrations necessary for professional certification by the Imaging Science Foundation. The resulting ISF "day" and "night" modes will then be accessible by the user to experience the best their LG HDTV has to offer.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Purchase   November 19, 2008

Bought this TV and have had it just under 1 month. Set up was incredibly easy. TV was light weight and manageable as compared to other flat pannel tvs I have owned. The picture and sound quality are prefect - and both have many options. HDTV has never looked better - esp. for sporting events.

We have this TV & liked it so much that we got the 32" in this model for our bedroom. We use the TV for gaming, television & watching DVD & Blu-Rays. The picture is great but the volume could be better. The volume goes from 1-100 & most of the time we have it up to about 70 or so & you'd think it would be pretty loud at that # but it's not. There are times we want it louder but are afraid we're going to blow the speakers or something. Even at 100 it would not be loud enough sometimes. The speakers are in the back of this TV so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it but if you have surround sound you'll probably be fine but if not be advise that the volume may seem a bit lower than you're expecting. The design of this TV is great. It's a nice TV to look at.

My only other complaint would be that it's not as fast to change channels or to go from cable to game mode very fast. It would be nice to be able to assign one button to switch back & forth between just those two (or whatever your needs are).

Setup was fast and easy.

I would recommend this TV. We like it quite a bit.

By far this is the best purchase that I ever made, crystal clear picture, lifelike and the most amazing. Hooked it up on my Comcast DVR, got all the HD Channels I could get, and walla, instant Cinema experience. Together with my Bose Hometheatre Sys, I could not ask for anything more. Cannot wait to always get Home and enjoy this TV with my Family. This TV is highly Recomended, Thanks LG for this innovation , and the technology that u guy's produced. Very Satisfied with this product...........

I recently purchased this and am very satisfied with this TV. The color, detail and contrast is excellent with Blu-ray and HDTV. Very crisp image. Lots of adjustments, and actually out of the box is quite good. Needs some minor tweaking though, but not as much as some TV's. Viewing angle is good for LCD, as are black levels. Well designed menu system too.

I recently purchased this LG TV and I must say I am not disappointed. I did a lot of research because I did not want to spend over a thousand dollars for a TV. I read a bunch of reviews and of course most recommend Ssamsung's Touch of Color. That TV is upwards of $2000. The HD looks amazing with its 1080p, high contrast and resolution. You cannot beat the price or the LG name.
