22 inch keeps pace July 1, 2008 LadyHawke9973 (UT USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the 22 inch version of this model (Samsung LN-22A330) for my bedroom, and am VERY impressed. The picture quality is fantastic, and it has settings where you can fine tune the settings for individual channels.
I like everything about this unit, including the "tools" function on the remote for the most-used items in my house (including the sleep functions).
The only item I find disconcerting is the sheer amount of time it takes to respond to turning the unit 'on'. Once you hit Power, just ignore it and .....................................THEN you'll hear the tones turning it on (tones can be set at different volumes and even turned off if you poke around in the menu long enough to find it). Given time, I'll certainly get used to the amount of time it is, but for now it's bothersome as there is no other indicator that you actually hit the button correctly (the light on the power button on the tv doesn't flash, nothing).
If I needed to replace this 22" unit for some reason, I'd buy the same model again in a heartbeat.
good tv for the price June 26, 2008 Steven G. Campbell only a little more pricy than a basic model, but better picture quality. I compared these in the store at best buy and this tv was a great value. compared similarly to sony's new value (I forget the model...L? series), but since there was some talk about the budget bravia's being a rebrand, decided to go with this one... honestly, it's hard to tell picture quality unless you really mess with all the tv's settings and spend hours comparing.
Best TV for its price-range June 23, 2008 Michael Montayer (NYC) I bought this a little over a month ago. My eyes are not that good and playing my Xbox 360 on my 25" CRT was not helping. I wanted to go HDTV but had other $$$ priorities. Then I came across this on Amazon before the NYC tax went into affect and had some bank rewards so I decided to take the plunge and got this set for under 500. I am in heaven. My 360 looks fantastic and even my PC looks great over HDMI. Wish I could have gotten a larger version and have yet to see any HD content except for the 360 but normal stations look great and the 360 upscales DVDs and they look great on this set! Will be calling cable company to get an HD cable box when I have time. This is the best TV I have ever owned. Get it while you can.
A super deal!!!! June 19, 2008 J. Silletti An excellent product at an excellent price. Purchased this tv for my husband as a birthday present after researching various brands at local stores. This was definitely the BEST VALUE for the money. The picture is superb; set-up was a breeze -- all in all a very attractive package. Liked the idea of the swivel stand, although ultimately decided to mount it on the wall on an articulating bracket.
Excellent TV June 19, 2008 R. Cochran Very nice sound. Some of the best sound I have heard coming from TV speakers. Overall, the picture is quite good. The TV's "dynamic mode" setting seems to produce the best picture quality. It appears to me that Samsung and Panasonic have the best picture quality in the 32 inch category. The TV controls are relative easy to use, although the remote looks cheap. The base stand that comes with the TV is not the best either, but overall this TV has good picture quality and great sound!
