Amazon.com Product Description Specifically designed for digital devices, this 12-foot Digital Coaxial Audio Cable from Belkin provides better sonic accuracy and more detailed, natural sound over cables that come with your audio device. Coaxial construction of both the conductors and plugs makes this cable ideal for digital surround sound. This differs from Digital Optical Audio, which uses pulsating light to transfer audio signals. A great solution for DTS and Dolby Digital surround sound, this cable features advanced engineering methods and the highest-quality materials to provide freedom from interference and deliver better clarity and a more natural sound from your digital audio video components.

Do you like hospitals? September 5, 2008 Amy Hughes (United States) The packaging for this product is ridiculous. After finding that I *could not cut it* with a knife I noticed a pull-tab to open the back. Simple enough, except that the ends of the cable were still entombed in the front of the package. They still had to be cut out, and the now open back had a sharp edge around which I had to work. Not a good place to have to use a lot of force cutting! It's no wonder people cut tendons opening packages. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, injuries from plastic packaging resulted in 6,400 visits to emergency rooms in 2004. This is one of the worst packages I have encountered.
Good quality product August 29, 2008 Stevie (Boston MA) Product arrived on-time and in perfect condition. Cable is good quality and performs as expected. Not really an audiophile but do own monster cables and these Belkin PureAV cables. Can't really tell the difference between the two.
great sound! July 7, 2008 Juan Sandoval (Atlanta, GA, USA) I have three inputs for sound on my surround sound amp. Two are the optical type and the other coaxial. I find the sound is excellent using the coaxial. I was worried that I would lose sound quality, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
stiff cable May 9, 2008 A. Boyd functions just fine as far as signal transfer but the cable is very stiff. almost like it was heated in the sun. hope i dont have a bad cable but nothing to compare it to.
It does the job. March 25, 2008 Kevin R. Doherty (Chicago, IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not too much to say about this guy except that it works and works well. This is the second one I've purchased for use with my two Phillips DVD players which, unlike many other brands, favor the coaxial over optical digital audio connections. Nicely constructed with thick yet flexible shielding. At a considerable savings over high-end cables such as Monster, this does the job for me.
