did the trick January 7, 2009 M. Pendleton (Louisville, Kentucky United States) Took it on our trip on the plane and it worked very well to keep our 2 y/o occupied.
Excellent Portable DVD PLayer January 6, 2009 M. Sinha Pros Best Video Quality amongst Portable DVD Players Screen Flexibility - can always find a suitable viewing angle. Folds Flat. Dual Remote Sensors make it easy to use the remote even with the screen folded Desired Improvements Memory Card Slot Picture Viewer (inexpensive add-on -- most other player provide this) Firewire / USB Connectivity so one can view Camcorders and connect other digital stuff.
Big bang little buck January 6, 2009 D. D. Hart This is a great DVD player the picture is awesome. Its very easy to use and the battery life is good about 5 hours. The swivel screen is a great feature and is versatile for all sitting positions. The only downside is the sound it is very tinny and on the high side.If you are not going to use headphones i would recommend buying some auxiliary speakers to get some bass. All in all it is definitely a recommended buy.
Awesome Portable DVD Player January 6, 2009 Miranda Fong (Louisville, KY) This DVD player is awesome! The screen resolution is very good. I don't notice the difference between it and my HD TV. All the buttons are on the screen making it easy to use. You can even scan by using the arrow buttons in play mode. The battery life lasts about 5 hours with the backlight set on the default setting and using headphones. Cords to hook it up to your TV are included, as well as a power adaptor to your car. I've replaced my home DVD player (not portable) with this one because I like the displayed image better. I also travel with it. The battery pack makes it a little heavy, but it's compact enough to fit in a carry-on bag. It's perfect when your stuck at the airport or have a long flight. I've owned mine since October 2008 and have had no problems with it. This is one of the best investments I've made.
Sony DVP-FX820 Nice Job Sony! January 6, 2009 J. Datcher (Redford, MI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this portable DVD Player because of name recognition, and I'm very glad that I did. The product lives up to the Sony name! When I opened the box, it came ready to be used. Sony packaged the product well, so I didn't have to worry about any broken or missing pieces. The screen is just the right size, it is user friendly, and the movie was very clear. I didn't have any issues with this portable player. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this DVD player. The Sony FX820 is well worth the price.
