my review December 29, 2008 douglas smith very happy with the performance. Got this new from woot with 2 hd-dvds for 45 bucks cant beat that. great hd-dvd performance and great upscaling. Only drawback is what everyone else has already said a hundred times no 1080p and slow start up time.

The product looks good, but it's damaged since I received the courier! This is my first time that Amazon shipped to me a product that no works. And I tried to claim, but the process by Internet is VERY COMPLEX! So, I prefered leave this matter!
Very good DVD player September 20, 2008 C. A. Chen 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I paid $60 bucks for this DVD player and the picture quality is excellent! HD DVD looks really sharp and my old DVD looks really clear in 1080i. But this DVD player has a problem is the first one I got constantly hang during power up, need to unplug the power core to reset it. Return it and got a second one and second one works without problem. This is why I did not rate 5 star for this, besides the hang problem, this is a excellent player.
Excellent Product a must have for movie buffs September 20, 2008 Nathaniel Barnes (Washington, DC) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Purchased from amazon and item came as described w/movies. This item is a must have for movie buffs. I own a 42" and 62" hd tv's and it is perfect in every way. Not much difference from my blu-ray player and my HD dvd player for my xbox 360. Get this item asap.
HD-DVD The One That Should Have Been September 18, 2008 D. Nelson (Upper Mich. USA) I'm glad I was able to pick one of these up for so little. I've had the 360 add-on since the beginning and wanted a stand alone. I love the format and wish it was the one that prevailed, It should have. Not much to say that everyone doesn't already know and hopefully I will be able to import all of my favorites.
