 Not suitable for all ages January 6, 2009

I thought the product itself worked fine. However, we have one child and do not particularly want to watch her baby videos at all times. We ended up returning this product because it would only play one movie at a time. Also, this one required that you have each screen and the player connected to power. If two people watch it it would require that 3 power sources be available. There were wires all over the place which is not very safe with an infant, or any other child for that matter.
We tested it and although the picture quality was fine, it was not good enough to keep based on the above reasons.

I've never owned one of these before so I have nothing really to compare it to, but we just took it on a short family trip (2.5 hours one way) and we loved it! It's easy to set up and easy to use. The picture and sound quality are both good. I do wish it had batteries so you didn't have to start the movie over every time the car was turned off, although on long trips you don't turn if off all that often. We borrowed a portable DVD system (some walmart brand) from my sister before we bought this one and this one feels much sturdier and the sound and picture quality were much better. I also really liked the carrying case is came with. Over all a great product!

It's hard to find dual screen portable DVD players at a reasonable price. This is the best deal I found. Other reviews might mention how the DVD players don't last long - anyone who has kids will attest that not many things do. Have an adult set up & take it down when not in use -it comes with its own case which was not common with similar priced models. Why have it set up for short trips only to be knocked around?? We use ours for trips only longer than an hour. One complaint - no headphones included.

After reading many reviews I decided to go with this product. I have been using it for a few weeks now and my kids love it. I no longer have to worry about them getting bored and being a pain. The only negative as many other have noted is the lack of battery for memory when you have to shut off the car. My kids don't mind starting the movie over each time yet, but as they get older I am sure they will.

Mom to Twins
We have had this twin dvd player for about 7 months and we have used it on a 14 hour road trip and we also use it maybe once every 2 weeks for local trips and it keeps on working.
I love that I can control it from the front seat by changing the dvd's or fast forwarding or whatever I want to do since my kids are not quite 2 yet.
The only down sides are that the kids can kick the on/off push button on the screen with their feet if they are close enough and can reach it. Also I have found that the dvd player is a bit more sensitive than the one we use in our home and it doesn't play home made dvd's very well or very old dvd's also seem to pause and get stuck. As long as you are playing fresh dvd's that don't have scratches and that weren't recorded with your dvd burner...this is a great product.
