Along with a digital comb filter (which separates the color signals to minimize dot crawl and blurred edges), dynamic black level expansion and a white peak limiter features work to deliver a crisp, clear picture. Choose the mode (Standard/Dynamic/Movie/Custom) that best suits the program you're watching. It has a number of convenience features, including Remote Surf timer (returns TV to original channel so other channels can be browsed during commercial breaks), sleep timer, V-chip, on-screen menus, auto channel programming, channel labels. It features two built-in, 2.5-watt speakers and stereo output for connection to a home theater audio system. The MTS stereo sound system can play SAP (Secondary Audio Program) audio whenever a broadcast or recording includes a secondary language track. I recently saw this TV at Circuit City for $299 and was impressed for the quality of its picture. I did not notice that much difference between this tV and the other plasma TVs that were on display. I end up buying it at amazon.com because it was almost 50% off! I have read in other places that some people are having problems with the speakers of this TV. I connected mine to my Home Theater so basically, the TV's speakers are redundant. I am very happy with my purchase.

Bought the TV and it seemed ok. Then after little over a year it suddenly turned off. It is now dead. No response. I talked to the local Samsung repair shop and they said it would cost way more than its worth to fix if it was a board or a power supply. What a piece of JUNK. I will never, never buy a Samsung again.

Picture is adequate and some features are slightly better than that, but the television makes buzzing noises of varying pitches and volumes even with the sound all the way down. It seems that certain colors in the picture (I'm guessing white) cause the noises. When watching TNT with the rotating promo graphics over the bottom and right of the screen it sounds like a construction crew at work. Get it together Samsung.

I thought I was purchasing a spectacular product. The television had great picture and the sound options were amazing. However, less than a month later the right speaker began to cut out. My husband and I exchanged it for another.. only to have the same problem again, unfortunately after the 30 day return period. I'm now currently going round and round with the customer service department. They want to charge me more than the tv's worth just to fix it. Not only that, but I've never dealt with a more obstinate customer service department that tries really hard to make the consumer feel like they're making their problems up, rather than fixing them.
DO NOT BUY THIS TV! You'll be taking a risk buying any other Samsung products as well, since they just told my husband that apparently NO ONE in the company has the authorization to give us an exchange order.

I've owned this tv for about 7 months now and have not had any problems with it. Other reviewers have noted a problem with the speakers. One or two had problems with the picture. Maybe I'm lucky that I've not had any at all. I use this tv primarily for my 360 since its the only tv in our house with component input. It works great for me and friends have commented on how sharp and clear the picture looks! After reading most reviews, I would not buy this tv. I bought it before I read the reviews and count myself lucky!
