| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description It's something better than a Blu-ray player when you can stream thousands of movies, videos and shows direct to your TV from CinemaNow and other streaming entertainment on the Internet. Not to mention it plays Blu-ray discs in stunning 1080p, Full HD and up scales standard DVDs in near-HD quality.

Good First Blu-Ray Player August 29, 2010 E.A. (Philly) I have had this DVD player for nearly a year. I just purchased my first HDTV and wanted to make the most of it. I also purchased this DVD player for the Netflix streaming capabilities. At the time, the price of this player was quite low (below $150). Since then, the price of electronics has dropped significantly. Anyway, I am getting off track.
Set-up was very simple. Just plug in the DVD player, connect to your TV with an HDMI cable and connect to your router (for internet usage). As others have noted, this player does not have wireless capability, which can be irritating if you don't want to keep your modem/router right next to your TV or Blu-ray player. I played "Cars" to see how the player worked and how the DVD looked on my TV. I have to say it looked amazing. I also streamed Netflix with this player. Netflix streams constantly and looks good, as well. I have not had any problems. I've watched a few Youtube videos, but Youtube doesn't look good on the big screen.
The problems I've encountered with this player are that sometimes it seems to freeze up while using Netflix. What I mean by this is that although the Netflix video plays, the player won't acknowledge the remote if you try to hit pause, rewind, stop, etc. It will also not allow you to return to the home screen when the remote/player is "frozen." You have to restart the player manually. The remote is also a little difficult to use, in my opinion. Disc menu, home menu, display, are all quite confusing because you never know what screen you'll be taken to when you hit any of these. I am also not sure what the four multi-colored buttons (A-D)are meant for. I gave the unit 4 stars for those reasons.
Not worth the effort, really. August 24, 2010 Veronica I've had this BD370 for a few months. Since I installed it, the sound would frequently not match up with the video. This was a problem with streaming and DVD.I also had the problem of very slow loads and simply not having any video output. I called LG tech support today and was told it was the player that needed to be serviced and that the charge would be $69 for labor (parts are still under warranty). I've decided not to get it repaired and just buy a new non LG player. LG tech support was average and I got the response I expected but after reading reviews of LG's and throwing in my own LG experience I'd much prefer another brand.
If you're considering this BD370 model, please don't. Really, please don't. At the least go with another well reviewed model if not another brand.
Very Disappointed that misrepresented..is DISCONTINUED by LG August 8, 2010 dottyebran We were very excited to get such a great deal on this player, but that didn't last long. First of all, this unit has been DISCONTINUED per the LG site. Since it's our first bluray, and although most of our pc and other equipment is wireless, we didn't read anything about needing more equipment before we could stream Netflix, et al. This unit is NOT wireless, and requires an expensive Ethernet adapter to perform streaming fm Netflix. The manual also suggests that your picture/sound quality will be compromised if you're not directly connected to your router or not too far from it. Whoa...how many of you have this luxury in your wireless environment? Would love to return it, but that's not an option!!!
Junk fell apart only 90 day warranty...done with LG July 28, 2010 Brett 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My LG is 8 months old and stopped reading disc. Called their service department and they want to charge me $70 for a new player becuse there is only a 90 day warranty. This is the last LG prodcut I will ever buy. Poor product quality and terrible warranty and service.
Heed the warnings! July 26, 2010 Rodney Mitchell 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you only need a blu-ray player to work for 8 months, then this is tailor made for you. But if you are like the rest of us, then heed the warnings and stay far away from this. I hate to beat a dead horse, but as per other similar reviews, this player will stop working properly after 8 months. I bought this in December on black friday. Needless to say I froze my buttocks off to get it at a decent price. But now that I realize this thing is a piece of crap, I thought it my duty to warn other people. I can't play any regular DVD, or older Blu-Ray disc, and the newer blu-rays are not playing properly. They skip, break up, and pause. I wish I had skipped, broke up, or paused before buying this junk. According to the other reviews, I won't be able to play anything soon enough and will have to buy a new player. If you like throwing money away, and need new things every few months, than this is the poster child for defective products.
